standard stamp COMPANY, ST. TOUIS, MO.

Introduction.

The firm so well and favorably known throughout
the world as the ‘ ‘ Standard Stamp Company ’ ’ is now
incorporated under the State Taws of Missouri with an
authorized paid-up capital of $25,000.00.

The business is under the direct management of
Mr. H. Flachskamm, who is assisted by a force of from
twenty-five to thirty clerks throughout the season. It
was founded by him in 1885 and has since enjoyed a
prosperous and steady growth from year to year.

The Standard Stamp Company is to- day the largest
retail firm in America dealing exclusively in postage
stamps.

The firm occupies its own building , especially built
for its use, at No. 4 Nicholson Place, and has the finest
and most commodious offices occupied by any stamp
firm west of New York. Several reproductions of views
taken of the different departments will give our many
friends and patrons an idea of the size and importance
of the business which is carried on chiefly through the
mails and express companies.

The firm receives one of the largest mails in St.
Touis, numbering very often 800 to 1,500 letters per day.
The business is so well systematized that any number of
orders can be dispatched with promptness and accuracy.

We  could  show  thousands  of  others  if  space  would  permit.  ;
Besides, we think the above will suffice to prove that our
STANDARD PACKETS are exactly what we claim them to be —

mr THE CHEAPEST AND BEST.

Although we are an old firm and well known throughout the
world amongst collectors and dealers to be the lowest-priced
stamp firm in America, we cannot refrain from publishing some
of the numerous letters which are daily received by us, and in
which both collectors and dealers express their satisfaction at
both quality of our goods and promptness in the filling of their
orders. All these letters are entirely unsolicited and are Dn file
at our offices, where they may be seen at any time during busi¬
ness hours. Some people express their surprise as to “ how we
CAN SERR GENUINE stamps SO CHE-APRY,” while other dealers
ask two or three times the amount for the same articles. They
will understand how this is possible when we say that we are
doing the largest business of any retail stamp firm in America
and that this is our motto: “ Large sales and small profits A We
can prove that we have more regular agents on our books and
sell more packets than any two firms combined in this country.
We import all of our stamps directry, having purchasing
agents employed in every country on the globe, who buy old
stamps for us cheaply. We have every facility to fill a large
number of orders in a short time and our patrons may always be
sure to receive goods ordered by return mail.

standard STAMP COMPANY, ST. IyOUIS, MO.

No. 342.— Price, only 50 Cents.

Contains 100 well mixed stamps, many different
kinds, but all more or less damaged. In every large
stamp business there accumulate a number of
stamps which cannot be used on sheets, etc., on ac¬
count of their condition ; some having slight tears,
some being canceled heavily, etc. As we have a quantity of such
stamps we have decided to close them out in this manner. The
assortment contains stamps of all grades, regardless of catalogue
value! ; and in these lots may be found single stamps worth as
much each as the price of the whole packet. Remember these
lots contain no very badly damaged stamps ; most of them are
heavily canceled or have slight tears, etc., and by mending them,
can well be used in any collection. Almost every packet will be
different, so that by purchasing two or more lots, not too many
of the same kind will be found.

the price of the Packet.

courage collectors to try these splendid Packets, we make the
following offer, which we trust will be highly appreciated: To
every person who orders any of the following Packets, from Nos.
377 to 381, inclusive, we will allow a discount of 25% on any
Album advertised by us.
